The Ear Foundation was established in 1989 to bring cochlear
implantation for deaf children to the UK.The Nottingham Paediatric
Cochlear implant programme, part of the Queen's medical centre
University Hospital NHS Trust established the first dedicated
programme for children in the UK supported by The Ear Foundation.
The charity has achieved a great deal since its
formation, including the establishment of a clinical programme
for Cochlear implantation,renown training and educational courses
for parents, families and professionals. This event is a
celebration of the charity's 21st birthday and a fun day of
activities, stalls and food will be available for visitors. Please
