Nucleus® Freedom™ for Nucleus 22 Implant Recipients
Cochlear™ is excited to announce that the flagship Nucleus®
Freedom™ sound processor is now compatible with all previous
generation Nucleus cochlear implants.
Most significantly, Nucleus Freedom when used by Nucleus 22,
Nucleus 24 ABI and Nucleus 24 Double Array recipients provides
better overall hearing performance in all listening environments.
Thanks to its water resistance and flexible wearing options users
can enjoy increased peace of mind. In addition, the freedom
processor provides more choices in wearing and battery options.
Nucleus Freedom is a proven advance in hearing technology and
Nucleus 22 recipients gain access to innovations such as
SmartSound™ and a water-resistant design. These innovations provide
users with the freedom to handle the most challenging situations
such as conversations in a noisy restaurant as well as sports and
activities around water. This is the 6th processor upgrade
available to Cochlear's first implant recipients over the past 25
years. Combined with compatibility with the ABI and Double Array,
this once again demonstrates Cochlear's lifetime commitment to all
of our Nucleus implant recipients.
Freedom for N22 is being rolled out throughout Europe during the
