Sound Processor

The CP810 Sound Processor and CR110 Remote Assistant guarantee industry-leading hearing performance in a small, stylish and sophisticated format. Together they allow you to manage your hearing at the touch of a button. Power and simplicity combined. The sound processor has a unique two microphone design which captures ambient sounds and also helps focus on the sound from a speaker right in front of you.

The confidence to go anywhere

SmartSound 2 features the "hands-free" Everyday setting, which intelligently adjusts your device to a wide range of everyday situations such as the home or workplace. Simply turn on the processor and you're ready to go - Everyday does the rest. Noise, Focus and Music are "power programmes" designed for especially challenging situations such as excessive noise, a conversation in a lively crowd or listening to music.

Phone use and connections made simple

Communicating on the phone is an important part of everyday life. Only Cochlear has automatic phone detection that makes calling friends and family easier than ever. When you pick up the phone and put it to your ear, the CP810 Sound Processor automatically detects the signal and switches on the Auto Telecoil to optimise your hearing for phone use.

You can also connect to other devices through wired or wireless technologies, or enjoy your favourite tunes on your portable music player. Cables are designed for use with one or two processors.

Style, comfort, flexibility

The Nucleus CP810 is our smallest ever sound processor. Smart, slim and stylish, the processor is ergonomically designed to fit ears of all sizes comfortably and discreetly.

It is also robust and flexible. With disposable and rechargeable batteries, we offer you convenient power options, so you can relax in the knowledge that the processor will enable you or your child to lead an active social life.

The body of the sound processor is elegantly designed with chrome trim. You can also personalise your device by choosing from a wide range of exclusive covers featuring stylish colours and patterns that blend in with your skin and hair tones.

Confidently control your hearing

The remote assistant enables you to control the functions and settings of your sound processor(s) simply and interactively. Functions include easy access to key information on the status of your processor(s), such as current programme and battery levels. The remote assistant also helps troubleshoot and diagnose sound processor issues to keep you hearing without needing to go back to the clinic.

Adults

  • Simple user interface

A simple user interface allows you to change programmes as you move between listening environments, as well as adjust volume and sensitivity - and a range of other performance-enhancing features.

  • Full-colour LCD screen

Navigate the remote assistant controls via a clear, colour LCD screen that confirms that the sound processor has made the change - without ever needing to touch the device behind your ear.

  • One-button check

Simply press the "Cochlear" button and the remote assistant checks the status of the processing unit, battery module, coil cable and coil.

  • On-screen alerts

Alerts warn you of potential issues - low battery, coil not connected, processor not working properly, etc. Can't remember what you just changed? Simply press "Reset" and revert to your clinician's settings.

  • Battery life

You can expect about one week's typical use from the rechargeable battery in the remote assistant - and it recharges quickly in two to four hours.

  • Accessories

Accessories, such as leather and silicone cases, are available to protect your remote assistant.

  • Simple troubleshooting

A troubleshooting guide is built into the remote assistant to help diagnose and solve issues.

Children

With the CP810, your child can sign up for the sports team while you relax in the knowledge that their processor can handle the rough and tumble. The CP810 Sound Processor is more water resistant than ever before, and being made with titanium will absorb the bumps and knocks that are an inevitable part of an active child's life. Combine this with the Snugfit™ hold and various choice of fun covers, and your child is good to go.

With the remote assistant, it's now so easy to see if your child's equipment is working properly:

  • Alerts
Thanks to in-built diagnostics, the remote assistant notifies you of potential issues such as low battery, coil not connected or processor not working properly. In addition, a two-colour LED indicator light on the sound processor will tell you at a glance if something is wrong.
  • Troubleshooting
The CR110 Remote Assistant provides simple, intuitive and interactive troubleshooting guidance.
  • Simple navigation
With a large, colour LCD screen you always see where you are and what the sound processor is doing.
  • Reset
You can always revert to your clinician's settings without having to go back to the clinic.
  • Battery life
The remote assistant clearly shows how much battery power is available so you'll know before you need to change the batteries.
Expect around a week's typical use from the remote assistant's rechargeable battery. It recharges rapidly in two to four
    hours.
  • Bilateral control
The left and right sound processor can both be controlled simultaneously via one remote assistant.
  • One-button check
Just press the "Cochlear" button to check the status of the processing unit, battery module, coil cable and coil.
  • Simple buttons
If your child's remote assistant is out of reach, you can still easily manage his or her hearing via the simple, two-button interface on the sound processor.
  • Tamper resistant
Battery modules can be locked onto the processing unit, keeping them safe from curious little hands, while still allowing you access and control. Tamper-resistant ear hooks are also available for the processor.
  • LED Indicator light
The two-colour LED will flash to notify you when your batteries need changing or another issue needs to be brought to your attention.

Human engineering like no other

Only available from Cochlear, with 22 real-platinum stimulation contacts, Nucleus implants are designed to offer full coverage for accurate delivery of sound to your hearing nerve.

The 22 real stimulation contacts in combination with our sophisticated sound coding strategy may enable you to perceive up to 161 different sound pitches, and experience sound in a more natural way. This means audiologists have the flexibility to programme sound the way you like it best - advanced technology made easy!

The most natural fit from the reliability leader

Cochlear builds on more than 10 years of experience in developing patented thin electrodes that curl around the cochlea to match its natural shape. Its Softip™ design allows for gentle insertion and is designed to minimise the risk of damage to the delicate cochlea structures.

The design of the new Nucleus CI500 Series is now 250% more impact resistant, compared to our previous generation Nucleus® implant - Nucleus Freedom™, and is already compliant with standards that regulators are likely to require in future.
